About the Name

I've chosen "MISTY DREAM" because I think it suits Saber quite well. At the beginning she is a really misterious person, "accidently" summoned by Shirou as his servant.. for Shirou is everything new, a little bit confusing or even misty. Another aspect is Saber's past which sees Shirou later in his dreams. She also talks about a duty or a wish, a dream she'd like to fullfill in this condition - because she wasn't able to do so in her life.. That were my thoughts about the name.

About the Heroine

SPOILER WARNING! Saber's first appearence in the series was really amazing. When Saber appeared for the first time in front of Shirou, he completly lost the ability to speak because of the elegance of the "girl" right before him. Saber really looked awesome in the soft light with the serious expression on her face.

Anyway, like above described you could think she's a really cold character only there to fight and to gain the Holy Grail. That's not true =3 After she understood Shirou's ideals she was willing to help him and since then they fight together. Shirou himself didn't want to let her fight alone, so they "agreed" to fight together. Shirou sees her much more as a woman or a girl than a servant or a fighter. They became really good friends and It also seems that Saber is starting to fall in love with Shirou. <3

In the past she was the King of Britain (King Arthur) who pulled the holy sword Excalibur out of the stone. When Shirou asked her why she decided to take place in the Holy Grail War she answered that she has something to do which she wasn't able to in her life.
In the battle against Berserker, Shirou "forbids" her to use her Noble Phantasm because she would probably die through that. He wants to create her a better weapon and imagines an incredible strong sword. A few seconds later he holds the holy sword Excalibur in his hands. Together they win and destroy Berseker.
